Palm Springs Collegiate League 2018 All-Star, Casey Combs, joins the Miami Marlins this season

Combs is a 6’2, 195lb catcher out of Southlake, Texas.

Combs, East Texas Baptist University graduate, was a 2019 D3 1st team All-American. He is the 2019 Miami Marlins Draft Pick, selected in the 27th round.

Combs has made PSCL history as he is the first player to be drafted.

Baseball runs in Combs family as his father played for Baylor University in the ’80s, then was drafted to the Philadelphia Phillies before joining the U.S. Olympic Baseball Team. His brother also plays at East Texas Baptist University.

“Man, God is so good! Undersized my whole life, zero offers out of high school, walked onto a Division 3 program with no expectations. I cannot thank @GoETBUTigers enough for what they did for me and the @Marlins for giving me a shot. Just the beginning!”, Combs tweeted.
